Service Overview

A website can be brilliant for people and almost invisible to AI.

AI engines don’t browse your site. They read it, slice it into snippets and keep only what they can verify and quote. If your content doesn’t load without JavaScript, if their crawlers are blocked at server level, or if your key details live only in images and PDFs, your site simply isn’t part of the conversation.

AI engines can’t recommend what they can’t read.

No visibility effort pays off on shaky ground. That’s why every GEO campaign starts with Foundation: a one-off project that makes your site readable, understandable and quotable by AI engines, and sets the zero point every following month is measured against.

What to expect

Before visibility comes readability

3
A GEO Foundation by Double Dot

Four axes, one goal: a website AI engines read correctly.

  • Access: Can AI engines reach your content?

    • Check and configure robots.txt for AI crawlers: GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, ClaudeBot, Applebot-Extended
    • Check CDN, firewall and bot protection for rules that silently block AI crawlers
    • Check server-side rendering: what a crawler that doesn’t run JavaScript actually sees
    • Check sitemap, canonicals and duplicate URLs

Why it matters: In practice, many cases of zero AI visibility are technical, not a content problem. It’s the first thing we check, and the most often overlooked.

  • Identity: Who you are, in a language AI understands

    • An llms.txt file: a short, machine-readable brief of your company with the information that matters most
    • A key facts page on your site, in plain text and open to crawlers
    • Full Organization schema, linked to your service and product pages
    • sameAs setup and a consistency check across your site, Google Business Profile, social profiles and directories

Why it matters: AI engines recommend brands they can recognise as a specific, real entity. When your details differ from source to source, that recognition weakens.

  • Answers: Content AI can quote

    • GEO-based FAQs on your key service or product pages, with questions drawn from real prompts, not keywords
    • Structured data per page: FAQPage, Product, Service, Breadcrumb, where it applies
    • Answer-first restructuring of those pages: the answer up top, clear headings, specific facts and figures in text

Why it matters: AI engines quote snippets, not pages. The more cleanly an answer stands on its own, the more likely it gets used.

  • Measurement: Where you stand today

    • Baseline visibility across the main AI engines, using strategic prompts organised in topic clusters
    • Source mapping: which websites, directories, marketplaces and forums feed the answers in your industry
    • Accuracy check: what AI engines say about your brand today, and where they get it wrong
    • AI traffic tracking in GA4 and Looker Studio, with a dedicated channel for visits from AI engines

Why it matters: Without a starting point there’s no improvement, only impressions. The baseline is what every monthly report after it is compared against.
